A perfect introduction to Clay Pigeon Shooting, or for brushing up existing skills, at one of the top ranges in the country. You have 25 clays apiece to blast to smithereens. Expert tuition from some of the top shooters in the country will see you downing more clays than you would have thought possible. All equipment provided. Please note shooting range is closed on Mondays
Price is based on per person and has a maximum group size of 12 and a minimum group size of 3.
Important: Please note the min age is 12 years old, however this does also depend on the size and physical ability of the junior.
Clay shooting can be done by 10, 11 and 12 year olds, they just need to have the physical ability to hold the guns and shoot. This will be assessed on the day with the instructors.

Overview
Once you’ve got to grips with basic gun slinging skills in a variety of disciplines, it will be time to take out the traps. You’ll make your way across a variety of shooting stands, taking out fast-moving simulated targets designed to move just like real game. There is no thrill more exhilarating than this.

Participants Guidelines
Minimum age varies on different venues, but many of our sites let shooters from 10-16 take part, as long as they are accompanied by an adult at all times.

General Availability
Most sites run events seven days a week, whilst others just run events at weekends. Check with your nearest location for full information.

What To Wear
Your finest country wear is advised to blend in on the shooting range- whilst it is illegal to wear open toe shoes on the range, so make sure you don’t bring flip flops!

Weather
The shooting stands at many of our locations have all-weather protection. In those that don’t, events will only cancelled in extreme conditions.

Duration
Our sessions normally last between 1 and 2 hours.

You can be a party of one to shoot with us, with maximum group sizes normally being around 10.

The majority of our locations have spectator areas, as well as cafeteria facilities to sit down and enjoy light refreshments.

You don’t need a licence to shoot with us. Each of our locations has toilets and car parking.

Built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games, The National Shooting Centre is the home of competitive clay shooting in the UK regularly hosting the British team. The superb ranges were completely updated in 2022 with the installation of all new traps and acoustic release systems. As part of this work the training ranges were significantly expanded and a Sportrap area was installed to maximise the shooting experiences available.
The ground caters for shooters and groups of all abilities from Olympic Medallists through to those taking their first shots, from families through to corporate teams.
Our team of dedicated coaches make full use of our multiple training ranges to ensure that all participants have an unrivalled experience and an unbeatable time.
The magnificent, glass fronted pavilion offers newly updated toilet facilities, a terrace overlooking the ranges and a fantastic café offering a range of hot and cold food and refreshments. Extensive car parking and easy access for disabled shooters make this an ideal venue for all shooters

The Big Shoot's Woking location can be found just a short drive from London, just off the M3 and moments away from the A322. If you are using public transport, Brookwood train station is five minutes away. Full travel information will be printed on your booking confirmation receipt.
